This blog was started to document our walk through jaw distraction surgery and how it is helping Faith overcome some of the serious issues she has faced including obstructive sleep apnea. After researching jaw distraction surgery, we could only find one other T-18 child to have this procedure done. We hope our story will help other families dealing with Trisomy 18 and we look forward to the day God completes the work He has begun in Faith.

OH, MOM AND DAD! FAITH LOOKS SO SO BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteHER JAW LOOKS SO GOOD AND SHE IS JUST SO DARN PRETTY. EVEN WITH ALL THE CONTRAPTIONS ON HER.
LILLY IS JEALOUS OF HER HAIR, BUT HOPEFULLY, WHEN SHE IS FAITH'S AGE, SHE WILL HAVE THAT MUCH.
I HOPE SHE IS ENJOYING THAT 'HIGH' AND THAT SHE IS SHARING IT WITH YOU. I'LL BET YOU COULD USE IT.
XOXOXO AND PRAYERS AND PRAISE.
LILLY'S AUNT SHISSHY
I'm so glad to see that Faith looks so comfortable. Still praying she'll be released earlier than the doctors predicted!
ReplyDeleteShe looks beautiful. Those eyes are brilliant even when she is looped out:). It's great to see some pictures where she is really moving along. Work to go, but she looks great! Color is nice too on her sweet face. I can't believe you're holding Gideon on your hip-well---yeah I can--but it makes my heart happy to see you do it. Such a mom. XXOO Missing you so Jess and Faith oh-all my boys are praying for you-even little Paul. He's five and has told me at night he prayed for you again without my even asking. You're in all our hearts now forever sweet girl. What a way to get a fan club! You could have been a little less dramatic-but-ok--that's just who you are and we love it:)! Carol
ReplyDeleteTHe transformation in these pictures is amazing! She looks so grown up and beautiful! (not that she wasn't beautiful before) I was just struck by how her whole face has changed shape it seems with the growth of her jaw. Wow! Thank you God for continuing to work in Faith and clear out her lungs! The Peters
